Welcome
I offer a heart-centered, intuitive approach to relational somatic psychotherapy for both children & adults. Together let’s explore your strengths, as well as examine some of the obstacles you encounter towards living your fullest, embodied life. People often come to therapy when the ways they’ve brilliantly learned to cope become maladaptive with time. We long to find new ways of moving through the world, as well as within our relationships, with increased expression & authenticity.
Somatic therapy provides a vast landscape of support for whatever wants to unfurl within you (or your child) at your own, unique pace.
My approach is gentle & experiential, yet direct.
Experiential means based in the present moment- what is happening, right now? What wants to move, shift? Inspired by the innate dignity & intelligence we see when we look to the natural world, I know & honor that each person who comes through my door is intact with all the puzzle pieces that they need to thrive.
I specialize in working with developmental trauma in both children & adults. In my work with minors, I am a certified play therapist & practice child-centered play therapy that incorporates elements of Sandtray, expressive arts, CBT & dance/movement therapy to support nervous system regulation & early trauma integration. My journey with child therapy began as a school-based counselor, extending into an outpatient as well as private practice setting, both of which include familial support sessions every 6-8 weeks.
